Unforgiving Pain

rain on tinned roof (from viequesdreamhousediary.wordpress.com)

the rains hit like memory

unforgiving on tinned roof –

tears fell like storm.

*Listening to the rain pattering on tinned roof when you’re hurting is just like hearing the sound of your tears falling from your eyes to your cheeks and down to your chin. They are making you feel the pain more profoundly, making you wallow in the moment. This is what this haiku is all about. It is about letting the pain sink in and just feeling it. – Leigh*
